Hoffa’s Syndrome – Causes and Treatment

hofsphaorg

There are a number of possible causes for Hoffa’s syndrome. The most common symptoms include no injury to the affected knee, a steady ache and occasional sharp pain. Symptoms may also include swelling below the knee, pain when walking for a long time, or a difficulty straightening the affected knee. In some cases, treatment may be limited to pain medication and taping. However, if the symptoms persist, you may need to see a sports medicine doctor for injection of an anti-inflammatory medication. In some cases, mild surgery is required.
